Folding cartons are die-cut and creased paperboard packs, commonly supplied flat for assembly. They can be suited to retail products and branded packaging where the board, structure and closure are appropriate for the contents.
Construction: Straight-tuck, reverse-tuck and locking-base styles offer different assembly and load-handling characteristics. The product weight and whether packing is manual or automated influence the choice.
Materials and print: Board caliper, coating and grain direction affect stiffness, folding and appearance. Print coverage and specialist finishes should be evaluated against the chosen substrate.
Artwork and production: Approve the structural dieline before final artwork. Check bleed, safe areas, folds, glue zones and any barcode or mandatory information relevant to the product.
For a quotation: Provide internal dimensions, packed product weight, quantities, carton style, print colours, finishes, artwork status, packing method and delivery details.
